Queen of Pain 2012 Shred-Off Champion

Congrats to Chris (The Slice/Anwind) for winning the 2012 Metal Shred-off competition. The Finals was held last night at Autonomy Bar during Queen of Pain's "Metal Meltdown 5: The Final Shredd Off".

The competition was based on the old school 'Guitar Showdown' format, but all the 'combatants' was on fire, with no 'TKO's', and leaving the decision to the panel of judges to bring in the winner. Special judges were Goody and Grace from Autonomy Bar, Richard from Bulagta, Ron from Il Nomine Patris, Marvin from Thanatopsia, Kevin and Arwin from Subkonsius Terror, and Reyniel from Troll of Sanity.

It was a very tight competition between Group A's Chris (The Slice/ Anwind) and Group B's Kelvin (Hot Sauce Jr.). But in the end, the judges declared that there can only be one.

Chris takes home a scaled replica of the rare 'Zemaitis' Steel Front Guitar, a set of Ernie Ball 'Slinky' strings, and a trophy. Queen of Pain shall also sponsor a track recording of Chris' band for a single, to be included in Queen of Pain's mixed genre compilation album, planned to be released by December.

winners from both groups shall then face each other for the final shredd-off. At stake is a special token award for the guitarist and a track recording session for one song. That song shall also be included on the planned Metal Compiplation Album planned to be released by January 2013.

The Grudge Event

The freaks came out last night as Queen of Pain Productions held its "The Grudge Event": A Holloween Rock Special. Some bands came in their scariest look as the night of rock music and comraderie drones into the wee hours of the day.
