DeepSleep releases "Master of Pain" Official Video

Hardcore metal band "DeepSleep" just released the official video for their single "Master of Pain". Jef, Noiz, Al and Gerd shows off their mettle, along with their legions of fans and friends alike, in an intense 5 minute barrage of sonic and visual fuel for aggression.

 "Master of Pain" is also a featured single in the "Metal Meltdown" compilation album released by Queen of Pain Productions last year.

Diet of Wormz: The Sentinel Tour

Here's a montage of what you've missed so far with the first half of the Sentinel Tour coming to a close. We had a blasty blast with a full on metal slamming fun at Autonomy Bar, The Spot and Simplicio Elegante. If you haven't joined the fun, you have 2nd half of the tour to look out for.

The 4th leg will be held at The Hydra Bar at Quezon City and the last leg on April 13 at Headstock in Marikina City.

After a successful Metro Manila Album launch and Leg 1 of "The Sentinel" tour last night (April 5,2013) at Autonomy Bar, the sexy guys from Diet of Wormz are back with an episode on Queen of Pain Production's PROFILES web series.

After a whirlwind planning and promotion, Deadstring Records and Queen of Pain Productions, in cooperation with SacredNoize Productions, presents the "Sentinel Tour" by the Iloilo-based Industrial Metal band, "Diet of Wormz".

Take this opportunity to sample the unique boot stomping groves and melodies of "Diet of Worms", which sounds like members of Korn, Marilyn Manson, Tool, Rammstein and Deftones getting together to lash out a sonic whipping that would leave you moshing and head banging for more.

Supporting the tour is a fellow Iloilo-based band, "SlipSyndrome", along with QoP bands such as "Subkoncius Terror", "Bulagta", "Iron Justice", "Illiana" and many more.

Queen of Pain to Launch "Metal Meltdown" the album

In line with Queen of Pain Production's mission and goals to promote local independent musicians, QoP will release a select compilation of songs from metal bands that performed in their Metal Meltdown events. Burning down the boundaries of the metal scene, the album promises to deliver a wide range of metal music goodness ranging from heavy metal, thrash, hardcore, symphonic, nu metal and hard rock.

"Metal Meltdown"  is a monthly event held by Queen of Pain Production in an effort to provide additional avenues for Filipino metal bands to put their music out to the public.

Iron Justice records their song for the "Metal Meltdown" album

Last weekend (March 9,2013), metal band Iron Justice hooked up with Queen of Pain Productions to record their song for the "Metal Meltdown" compilation album. The recording session was held at our partner studio, Vhinlex Audiowave, located at FTI, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City, under the supervision of RunByNine guitarist, Jade Venzuela.

Their upcoming single shall be released, along with other hard hitting metal songs, on March 22, Queen of Pain's 1st anniversary party and album launch for the "Metal Meltdown" compilation cd.

QoP Launches Indie Compilation Album at Xmas Party

Queen of Pain had their "A Day of Days: Christmas Party Rock Special" Christmas party at Autonomy Bar last Sunday (Dec.16,2012). 

The intimate and casual party also brought in milestones as QoP releases the "Indie OPM Collection 2012"; A compilation album with songs from various bands that had supported Queen of Pain.

Included in the compilation are; "Ang Wakas" by Antimano, "Sheltered" by Black Wolf Gypsies, "Bitin na Bitin" by Bulagta, "Dreams" by Ephesus, "Petty Vanity" by Flub, "Crash and Burn" by Hedgezero, and many more. 

The Queen of Pain crew was also in hand days after, promoting the album and the bands included therein to other productions, bars and hopefully, some radio time.

 The newest single by the band, The Slice, by QoP Shredd-Off champion, Chris Ligutan, was also launched on this day, along with an accompanying Music video to boot.

Along with the performances of the band, there was also a simple exchange gift, and a "Mini Micro Bazaar" selling laptops and music cd's.

Shredd Off Update: The Slice finishes recording with Queen of Pain

After a long wait, 2012 Queen of Pain Shredd Off champion Chris Ligutan and his band " The Slice" was able to finish recording on their latest opus, "Langit", at Vhinlex Audiowave in Taguig City last Sunday (Dec.9,2012).

It was a long and tedious process under the watchful eye (and ear) of manager Noel Ligutan and Audiowave sound engineer Jade Venzuela. Queen of Pain was there to oversee this momentous occasion and capture the event.

Though tired from the travel and performing, the other boys of  "the Slice", made up of vocalist Jeffrey, bassist Kevin and drummer Jurwin, kept their spirits high through the whole process (sige Jurwin...ice cream ka pa ha...:-)).

 

Seeing a band like "The Slice" perform, and to be able to help, even in a little way, to further their effort in music makes our job at Queen of Pain worthwhile.

Bulagta "Bitin Na Bitin" PV

Next up from the videos by Queen of Pain Productions is Bulagta's "Bitin na Bitin". We had a blasty blast with the whole Bulagta crew as we filmed the video in various pats of Mandaluyong City.

Queen of Pain 2012 Shred-Off Champion

Congrats to Chris (The Slice/Anwind) for winning the 2012 Metal Shred-off competition. The Finals was held last night at Autonomy Bar during Queen of Pain's "Metal Meltdown 5: The Final Shredd Off".

The competition was based on the old school 'Guitar Showdown' format, but all the 'combatants' was on fire, with no 'TKO's', and leaving the decision to the panel of judges to bring in the winner. Special judges were Goody and Grace from Autonomy Bar, Richard from Bulagta, Ron from Il Nomine Patris, Marvin from Thanatopsia, Kevin and Arwin from Subkonsius Terror, and Reyniel from Troll of Sanity.

It was a very tight competition between Group A's Chris (The Slice/ Anwind) and Group B's Kelvin (Hot Sauce Jr.). But in the end, the judges declared that there can only be one.

Chris takes home a scaled replica of the rare 'Zemaitis' Steel Front Guitar, a set of Ernie Ball 'Slinky' strings, and a trophy. Queen of Pain shall also sponsor a track recording of Chris' band for a single, to be included in Queen of Pain's mixed genre compilation album, planned to be released by December.
