QoP Launches Indie Compilation Album at Xmas Party

Queen of Pain had their "A Day of Days: Christmas Party Rock Special" Christmas party at Autonomy Bar last Sunday (Dec.16,2012). 

The intimate and casual party also brought in milestones as QoP releases the "Indie OPM Collection 2012"; A compilation album with songs from various bands that had supported Queen of Pain.

Included in the compilation are; "Ang Wakas" by Antimano, "Sheltered" by Black Wolf Gypsies, "Bitin na Bitin" by Bulagta, "Dreams" by Ephesus, "Petty Vanity" by Flub, "Crash and Burn" by Hedgezero, and many more. 

The Queen of Pain crew was also in hand days after, promoting the album and the bands included therein to other productions, bars and hopefully, some radio time.

 The newest single by the band, The Slice, by QoP Shredd-Off champion, Chris Ligutan, was also launched on this day, along with an accompanying Music video to boot.

Along with the performances of the band, there was also a simple exchange gift, and a "Mini Micro Bazaar" selling laptops and music cd's.

Shredd Off Update: The Slice finishes recording with Queen of Pain

After a long wait, 2012 Queen of Pain Shredd Off champion Chris Ligutan and his band " The Slice" was able to finish recording on their latest opus, "Langit", at Vhinlex Audiowave in Taguig City last Sunday (Dec.9,2012).

It was a long and tedious process under the watchful eye (and ear) of manager Noel Ligutan and Audiowave sound engineer Jade Venzuela. Queen of Pain was there to oversee this momentous occasion and capture the event.

Though tired from the travel and performing, the other boys of  "the Slice", made up of vocalist Jeffrey, bassist Kevin and drummer Jurwin, kept their spirits high through the whole process (sige Jurwin...ice cream ka pa ha...:-)).

 

Seeing a band like "The Slice" perform, and to be able to help, even in a little way, to further their effort in music makes our job at Queen of Pain worthwhile.
